Have fun making a dry ice
bubble that will
grow and grow as it fills with fog. This
experiment is a
great one for adults to do
with kids. Add water to the dry ice, cover
it with a layer of soapy water and watch
your bubble grow, how big will
it get
What's happening?

Dry ice is carbon dioxide (CO2)
in its solid form. At temperatures above
-56.4 °C (-69.5 °F), dry ice changes directly from a solid to a gas, without
ever being a liquid.
This process is called sublimation. When dry ice is put
in water it
accelerates the sublimation process, creating clouds of fog that
fill
up your dry ice bubble until the pressure becomes too much and the
bubble explodes, spilling fog over the edge of the bowl. Dry ice is
sometimes
used as part of theater productions and performances to
create a dense
foggy effect. It is also used to preserve food, freeze
lab samples and even to
make ice cream!

One of the best ways to manage your classroom is with a timer. I have found it works better to use a timer that the students can see as well. With this site you can customize your own timer to make it right for you and your students.
But wait! Before you can put up the lights, you must correctly answer as many math problems as you can in one minute.

If you have ever used an interactive whiteboard,
you have wanted one in your classroom. Then you saw the price. These
will cost about $2,000. Most teachers do not have this kind of money to
spend, and schools don't either. I have spent my time researching ways
to get one for cheap. I was successful in doing that. I have found a way
to create your own interactive whiteboard for under $100! Yes, that is a
savings of nearly $2,000! The only thing you will already need to have
for this to work is a computer and a projector. You can use this on any
surface so the projector is only needed to make the screen big enough
for everyone to see. The kids LOVE being able to use this in class. By
doing this, I have made myself a better teacher. Even better than that, I
have made my students more active learners!Interactive Educationhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16599571399605395042noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7773332469914056644.post-78081844811168215192012-11-14T04:00:00.000-08:002012-11-18T11:47:37.616-08:00Thanksgiving Division Word Problems

Verb Viper encourages the student to choose correct verb tenses, recognize correct verb forms, and recognize subject/verb agreement. A subject appears below the viper. The student reads the subject, notes whether the subject is singular or plural, and determines whether the verb closest to the viper agrees in tense and number with the subject and is a correct verb form. If the verb and subject match, the student feeds the verb to the viper.Interactive Educationhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16599571399605395042noreply@blogger.com0
